FY18 Budget

On April 26, 2017 the Pittsfield School Committee adopted the FY18 budget. The next step in the FY18 budget process is the public hearing at City Council, which is scheduled for Thursday, May 25th at 7:00 pm in City Council Chambers. This meeting is open to the public and all are invited to attend.

Bidding Opportunities


The Pittsfield Public Schools, acting through the School Committee and Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance, will receive sealed proposals for: Taconic Early Education and Care.

Proposal procedures will be in accordance with the latest edition of M.G.L. Chapter 30B. Said proposals will be addressed to the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance, Mercer Administration Building, 269 First Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. These proposals will be received until 10:00 AM August 13, 2018. Any proposals received after the specified time will not be accepted. All proposals will be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "SEALED PROPOSAL ENCLOSED RFP#18-4 Taconic Early Education and Care.” All proposers may obtain complete sets of plans and specifications at the School Business Office. A pre-conference meeting will be held at the Mercer Administration Building at 10AM on July 30, 2018.

The Pittsfield Public Schools Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or to waive any informality in the proposing. Also reserved is the right to reject, for cause, any proposal in part or whole, if it is judged by the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance that the best interests of the City will be served thereby. Attention is called to the "Equal Opportunity Clause" and the standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction contract specifications. All Proposers will receive consideration without regard to age, race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
