Trips to the apple orchards and pumpkin patches are highlights for our elementary students as the first quarter reaches the halfway mark on October 2, the date of the first progress report of the year. On Monday, October 12 school is closed as we observe Columbus Day. And of course students anticipate Halloween at the end of the month, celebrated with parades, costumes, treats and a very noisy pep rally at the high schools. Check your child's school for Halloween festivities.
