From: HJ Eberwein, Superintendent
As we begin summer vacation, I would like to remind each of you of the importance of reading throughout the summer months. Reading regularly will help your child to maintain and develop the academic skills neccesary to foster their growth and development. The Berkshire Athanaeum has developed a summer reading club for children and I recommend to you the library at One Wendell Avenue, or their website at http://www.pittsfieldlibrary.org/.
While I fully expect that your summer will be filled with many family activities, I strongly encourage that you include reading as part of your summer plans.
