Parent/Guardian Account Set Up and Resources

Stay connected and support your student’s learning with our family technology resources! Pittsfield Public Schools uses Canvas, PowerSchool, and ParentSquare to help families stay informed, monitor academic progress, and communicate with teachers and school staff.

Explore the resources below to learn how to access each platform, navigate its features, and make the most of the tools available to your family.

    Signing Up for the PowerSchool App

    Please note: You must email to get your access codes,required to sign up for the app or create an account on a computer.

    To request your access codes:

    Email pps-paar@pittsfield.net requesting your child's account information. Please include the following:

    1. Your full name & relationship to student(s)
    2. Students’ full names
    3. Students’ schools
    4. Program for which you are requesting access (example: Canvas and PowerSchool)

    NOTE: Be sure to use the same email we have on file for you. We cannot respond with private student information to unverified email addresses.

    Log in here to access your PowerSchool Parent (or student) account. https://pittsfieldschools.powerschool.com/public

    Student Passwords:

    Students use their email address and password to log into their accounts. This protects the privacy of siblings, as when they log in the can view only their own personal information.

    Signing Up for Canvas Observer Accounts

    To request your access codes:

    Email pps-paar@pittsfield.net requesting your child's account information. Please include the following:

    ParentSquare

    ParentSquare provides a range of helpful features that keep parents actively involved and informed about their child’s school experience. Through the app, parents can receive emergency alerts, school-wide announcements, classroom updates, and so much more. It also allows for two-way messaging with teachers and staff, helping to maintain clear and consistent communication. Additionally, ParentSquare supports messages in multiple languages, making it easier for families to stay engaged regardless of language barriers.
