
On Tuesday, November 10, the Pittsfield High School Chamber Orchestra will perform their holiday concert at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Avenue, Pittsfield at 7:00 pm. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
The student musicians will perform a variety of compositions. Included in the program will be the 1st Movement from the Brandenburg Concerto in F by J. S. Bach, L.V. Beethoven’s Overture to
Coriolan, A. Mozart’s “Lacrimosa," S. Rachmaninov’s “Romance," Smetana’s "Dance of the Comedians” and three works by contemporary composers Brian Balmages and Karl Jenkins.
The PHS Orchestra, 22 strong, will be joined on the last three pieces by thirteen 7th- and 8th-grade students from Herberg Middle school.
