• Work-Based and Community Service Learning, Alternative educational services, including supervising the Positive Options Program
• Credit Recovery, such as summer school, The Bridge Program, and on-time credit recovery
• Dropout Prevention
• 21st Century after-school enrichment and support programs
• Monitor programs for efficiency and compliance with state and federal laws and district policies
• Supervise staff and students
• Attend meetings and events in the community as the district’s representative
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his designee
WORK YEAR: 213 days (the 183 days of the UEP work year plus 30 days to be scheduled with the supervisor)

Coordinator of Adult Continuing Education

LOCATION: Adult Learning Center
SALARY: $20 per hour
HRS/WK 18 hours per week
185 days per year (5 leave days)

DUTIES: The Coordinator of Adult Continuing Education will be responsible for all activities related to the regular operation of the program including coordinating class schedules, recruiting teachers, and monitoring program activity. Will need to be available on Mon. and Wed. evenings to monitor the activity of the evening classes and should be able to work flexible hours throughout the remainder of the week. The Coord. will research potential class offerings, coordinate with the Pittsfield Public Schools, for Adult Continuing Education class offerings; schedule all adult continuing education classes; oversee the registration process; respond to student issues relating to complaints or refunds; be responsible for all paperwork; interact with local career development agencies. Should be proficient with Microsoft Office.
